The Album's Due tomorrow....

Well, first off let me say, "whew!"

A lot has happened since we began recording this record....
We went thru 3 guitar players (none of whom made it to tape)
We all got older.
I had a root canal (thanks Tim), lost 2 cats to illnesses, and became a bachelor per se.

I'm sure the others had stuff happen too...

The most important part is that we all survived the long process... especially mixing.

Now, after fighting the manufacturer's art dept... our little plastic frisbees will be arriving...
So help us out and buy 2 or 3.

I'm looking forward to NOT recording for a while and even more so NOT mixing.
We've got some cool shows comming up, and hopefully some more in the works.

We make a retun to the SCENE Festival in St. Catharines, then the Cicada Festival also in St. Catharines... then some down time...
well probably not, there is always something going on.

Well,
I'll be back when some news happens...

It's only been 9 months!

....And in that time.....
Nothing has happened.

Of course, I'm kidding.
Plenty has gone on.
The last few months have been a haze of recording studios, shows, work, and sleep.
By far, the sleep has been the most productive.

I'm pleased to announce that The Alco Beat is nearing completion on our debut album. We are currently mixing and have big plans for an official release by June.
I have nothing else to add at this time.

We also have a few shows on the horizon, again I'm bad with details so I'll leave it at that... there is a show scheduler at the bottom of the page, you can find some info there... if I ever update it.
The coolest thing so far is that we will be playing the cicada festival this July in St. Catharines, On. Again no other details....

So what was the point of all that style with no substance you may ask? Hell I dunno. I guess I feel like writing.

I'm slowly getting the Alco website up and running again... but I'm wasting all my time blogging.

I am pleased to announce the hiring of Rusty La Rue as our new guitar player, since Steve, our other guitar player went on maternity leave. He (well his wife) had a beautiful baby boy. Nice work.

So that catches every one up to speed for now.... I won't bother to pledge a new blog every week cuz I think that was my mantra in the past... so until next time
Live long and prosper.
